The purpose of the Giant's Drink was to see how the different soldiers deal with different types of deaths. ender thought he was going to die, but he figured out the rigged game. He knew all those ' drinks would kill him. Ender should really be proud of himself. He outsmarted the military. Ender is definitely not a murder. He killed imaginary people and the difference of a real human and an imaginary one is completely different.
alai said salaam to ender and kissed him on the cheek. this exchange of emotions is important because alai shouldn't have done what he did. It's forbidden in alais religion. Ender is really doing good. He's figuring things out at the school and making friends.
"Just Living" means living a normal life. Ender has definitely hasn't lived the average life where he he could go to school and walk around without the government watching him and without a brother that would support him. Ender just wants the success out of his life. The main thing is ender doesn't want to be anything like Peter. Ender is scared he will become a mean and violent person. He would much rather be a nice and supportive person like valentine. If I was ender I would be depressed. Ender isn't happy with his life and i wouldn't be either if i was living in fear and worry.
Petra helped Ender by teaching him how to shooting skills better. Petra wants to be Enders friend, but petra is also an unwanted outcast and it will only make ender's social problem worse. That's why petra friendship would be a hindrance, but its hard for ender to deny petras request of friendship because he still wants her support.
Ender learns that if you act as if you know everything people will respect you. I’ve noticed when you try to convince someone a lie you almost convince yourself that lie is real. Ender realized his tactics don’t work 100% of the time. Ender noticed how Bonzo tries to scare his soldiers so they believe he is the best and the boss. Ender thinks he could be help out the army and make it better but he stays quiet and does as Bonzo says. I think if Ender speaks out he will be rewarded. I think that’s what the army leaders want. The other soldiers will probably think he’s crazy, but it’s more important what the leaders say.
" Ender Wiggin is ten times smarter and stronger than I am" To me this quote means that Graff thinks Ender is superior to him. I think Graff looks up to that one general who won the war between them and the buggers and Graff thinks Ender is the new man to do that. I feel like Graff trusts Ender. If Graff had a leader he would want it to be Ender. Graff knows that Ender is smart and strong.
The significance of the quote “So teach me.” “So learn.” is that Ender needs learn by looking at what everybody else is doing. Ender is the social person so he doesn’t have people that would go out of their way and use up their time to help Ender. I guess it means that Ender has to work a little bit harder to be at the level he should be.
Ender’s response to an attack is so significant because when he attacked the older boys he does things differently. He knows what to do in zero gravity and he analyzes things better and differently. This is what makes him stand out for the better.
The scene with the snake and the reflection of Peters face represents the time when Ender kicked Stilson and when he beat up the boys in the battle room. He felt guilty as if he was a murder and it made him feel like he was his big brother Peter and that’s his life fear.
The game knows because the adults that followed Ender around made the game. They made the game hard to see how Ender deals with problems like Peter and trace him out of his memory.
Ender doesn’t want to be a violent person, but the leaders of the battle school try to bring the violence out of him. He feels like he is being used and being a person he doesn’t want to be. I understand Ender doesn’t want to be a violent person and I respect that, but he voluntarily put himself into this school so I feel like he is sabotaging the organization if he didn’t do when they told him to.
